About

Iris Sham Sin Hang is an interdisciplinary artist from Hong Kong, working across photography, fermentation, performance and installation. Her practice uses food as a starting point to explore time, memory and loss, power relations, and the ways people sustain daily life under pressure. Trained in law and political science, she carries an attention to power and structure into the kitchen and the field, treating food as the most honest evidence of how we live, remember and care for one another. Iris's work spans participatory performances, research across different regions, and a slow, plant-based approach to image-making, engaging with contemporary ideas around memory, locality, care and resistance.
